Hearns Schedule and Results from Farmers Insurance Open

I have been following David Hearn and Graham DeLaet on Twitter. I asked Hearn if he would be able to give me the dates he would be playing in. Thankfully he did so! The next tournaments that he will competing at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona and then the Northern Trust Open in California. These tournaments will be over the next couple weeks.
TORREY PINES RESULTS ARE IN!!!
Going into this past weekend David Hearn felt good with his play, @HearnDavid tweeted “Golf is humbling game. I felt better in my prep and warmup this week than I have all season". Obviously Hearn felt well with how he was hitting the ball but also he is appreciative of the game of golf. He is calling the game "humbling" which is great to see that he has a great opportunity in life to be a professional golfer and know that and be able to let other people know he is blessed with the skill and happy for those skills. Great qualities to see in a Canadian Sport Leader. With DeLaet leading into the weekend, he did not tweet anything with how he felt or how his performance would turn out.
Weekend Results:
Hearn started off the weekend a little rough with 3 bogeys leading to a +4 (40) on the front 9 holes. After the turn he started off decent but finished with a +2 (38) on the back 9 to finish Friday with a 78. To start off Saturday Hearn knew he had to turn it up in order to make the cut. He did exactly that, Hearn started the day with 4 birdies in the first 5 holes to finish the front 9 holes with a -4 (32). On the back 9 holes Hearn continued to shot subpar to finish his 2nd round at Torrey Pines with an impressive -6 (66). This left him with a score of even par. Regardless of scoring a great score of 66 on day 2, he was unable to make the cut to play on the weekend. Nevertheless, he tweeted "better luck next at the Waste Management Open"....continued to be humble.....my opinion: great attitude David! :)
DeLaet started the weekend well shooting a -2 (34) on the front 9 holes. On the back 9 holes he shot +3 (39) to finish off Thursday at +1 (73). It was a decent start to the weekend but well back from the top of the leaderboard he would need to shoot well on Friday in order to secure a spot for the weekend play. Again on Friday, he started off decent with -1 (35) on the front but finished with a +1 (37) to finished at even par. This left DeLaet at +1 after Friday which did not allow him to proceed into the weekend. After finishing the round he tweeted "rough day on the greens would be an understatement" and "well, I lost a ball in a tree for the first time. #double". Which would have been hole13 on Friday. Even though he didn’t shoot well he still tweeted and didn’t seem all that upset about his performance because he knows he is going back out there next weekend and going to try and tear it up at the Waste Management Open.
Regardless of this weekend’s past tournament results, sounds like the Canadian Boys had a good time and have forgot the poor shots and have moved on and refocused on next weekend’s tournament.

Stay tuned for this weekend’s pre-tournament and post tournament results and info!
