Today will cover an update of David Hearn, future tournaments he will be playing and the tournaments that Graham DeLaet will be playing in as well.
David Hearn teed off Thursday January 19th, 2012 at PGA West (Palmer Course) in La Quinta, California to start his first round at the "Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation" Tournament. This is Hearn's second tournament of the year. Hearn and fellow Canadian Golfer Stephen Ames are the only Canadians in the Tournament. Hearn started the weekend with a great start at a score of 69 (-3). This put him in a good position behind PGA Star Camilo Villegas who shot a great -9, 63 to start the weekend. The next day Hearn came out feeling strong and shot a respectable 68 (-2). That would leave him at -5 going into the weekend. Knowing that the players are scoring well this weekend with the leading score after two round was -16; he knew that he needed to step up his game on Saturday. Unfortunately Hearn came out flat and shot a disappointing 76 (+4). With that score he remained at -1 and was cut from Sunday. Therefore, Hearn left the weekend disappointed and empty handed. I have been following Hearn on Twitter and he had no news about the weekend (good or bad) to tweet about. I will take that as he is not overly upset or happy about the weekend performance.
Hearn and DeLaet will resume play at the Farmers Insurance Open in La Jolla, California on Thursday January 26th, 2012. Leading up to the Tournament I will be following the on Twitter: @DavidHearn and @Graham DeLaet. As well, I will keep my eye on TSN, ESPN, and PGA Tour websites along with their own personal websites: www.grahamdelaet.com and www.davidhearn.ca for any updates, tweets, or interesting news.
To finish off today, I have located the list of Tournaments that Graham will be playing in for the start of the season. The list follows:
· Farmers Insurance Open
· Waste Management Phoenix Open
· AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
· Northern Trust Open
David Hearn has not yet released a list of tournaments he will be playing in but I have asked if he would release a schedule.
Stay Tuned!!!
